The night air was warm as the ocean air pushed away the cold from the mountains. The Dark Elves wanting to make a good first impression hired the bloodweiser babes to come and give free samples to the fans, especially the fans on the Bretonian sideline. The pre-match festivities end as the Skaven ref Gretch enters the field. "Captainzez, comes to the centerzez of the field." As they arrive to center pitch, the ref shows the coins sides and indicated for the Dark Elves to call it in the air. The Dark Elves call tails and lose. The Brets chose to receive.
The players line up and the Silver Streak kick it directly to the young Blitzer Raymond de Monfort, who is unable to handle the ball. The Bretonian line lunges out quickly knocking the Dark Elf line back, separating Mortis from his team. The Brets rush to the left blitzing a line elf down. They take up position around mortis stomping him in the chest knocking the air out of him. Leaving him gaping for breath on the ground. The whistle blows as everyone waits with baited breath to hear the penalty call. A man in a well tailored cloak approaches Gretch with a heavy looking sack. Immediately the ref puts away the red card. "There iz no penalty on the playzez. Pleaze rezumezez play." The Dark Elf players look at the ref in disbelief while the fans on the Bretonian sideline erupt in cheer at a fever pitch.
The Dark Elves try to maneuver into a position to get a shot at the highly protected ball carrier to little effect. The Dirty Dozenish player Nice Doughball stomps on Mortis' chest for a second time. This time the ref was conveniently looking at the fans. The rest of the Brets build a cage around the young Blitzer. The Dark Elves resume their military style maneuvers working on gaining the advantage when an astute peasant managed to trip up the Dark Elf lineman Nalbean leaving an opening in the Dark Elven wall.
The man in the cloak smiles to himself," Yes lad, bring the match to this sideline and we shall provide you some assistance." Turning to several large men seated with him he stated," Get ready men. It's time to spring our trap." The men all make their way to the sideline.
The other Blitzer Lord Clotaire the Scarface blitzes a lone elf opening the way completely to move the cage to the sideline. The elves over pursue and realize to late that the men on the sideline are not coaches but thugs waiting for them. Believing that they have the ball carrier pinned on the sideline they move in and knock the young Lord to his back causing him to fumble. The Elven Runner Eildnill moves in to grab the loose ball only to kick it with the newly lengthened toe plate on his boots. The men on the sideline begin their attack by grabbing the Elven Blitzer Lanbien, wrenching his neck in a sickening fashion.
The Dark Elves try to escape the trap to little avail. Telten the Line Elf is black jacked by one of the thugs. Lord Clotaire attempts to stop one of the thgs and is knocked to the pitch, for his effort, by a Dark Elf boot, stunning him. in the confusion one of the Dark Elves manages to free the ball and kicks it as he reaches for it. One of the thugs grabs Laith the Dark Elf Runner, tossing him out of bounds land on his face folding over backwards. The Dark Elves begin to regain their militaristic composure from the brutal attacks and begin to take the fight back to the thugs forgetting about their opponents. In the confusion of battle, the young Lord de Monfort reaches over and picks up the ball, flinging it to his loyal baker, Nice Doughball who runs and lunges with the ball to score closing out the half. As the whistle blows, the thugs disappear as quietly as they entered.
The second half began with Lord Cotaire kicking the ball to midfield around the Dark Elf 30 yard line. As the ball soared over the line of scrimmage, the Bret team shifted into the perfect defense against the Dark Elf formation. In anticipation of the shift, the Dark Elves believing the sideline threat to be gone, tried to maneuver to their own sideline to clear a path to run the ball. The thugs jump out onto the pitch again and drag the Blitzer Ridlan from the pitch as Nalbean dives away narrowly avoiding the second sneak attack. This time, Svenrudabega has had enough. Donning one of the gauntlets from his injured Blitzer, he punches out one of the thugs attacking his player. Spooked the other two thugs grab their compatriot and flee into the tunnels below the pitch. The Dark Elf coach begins searching for the ref Gretch, and realizes that he has disappeared. It seems that the rest of the match will go un-officiated. A whistle blows from the Bret end zone, as the Goblin ref Wixx enters the pitch. He motions for the match to continue. Not realizing that the match has re-started the Brets were caught flat-footed. Taking advantage of the young Bret team, the Dark Elves press their attack, knocking Nice Scratcher out.
The Dark Elves, disenhearted by the actions of the thugs, realize that they are still in the match. They mount a last ditch effort to try free the ball to do something they hate, pass. However it was not to be as the peasants, motivated by the leadership and character of their young Lords and not being whipped, hold on to the ball getting it to their blocker who dashes into the end zone for the final score.
The man in the cloak realizing that the ref Wixx is an idealist, decides not to assassinate the Dark Elf team. He instead leaves before he can be captured and questioned.
Final Score: Silver Streak 0 Dirty Dozenish 2
