It was the start of a new day and the dawn of a new match.
After an infuriating tie, The Chaos Dwarfs found out that their opponent was to be an Orc team. Delighted by being able to have a chance to let off some frustration by beating up their old foes the Dwarves were excited to make it to the pitch (The Centaur and Hobgoblins didn't really care.)
Sizing up the enemy team before the match started they noticed that one of the opponents Black Orcs had received and injury in the last game which stopped him from being able to join his team today, much to the Chaos teams delight (Even the Centaur was happy about this one.)
However, all of the exuberance that the Dwarf team felt, would unbeknownst to them, end very, very shortly.
The coin was flipped and the winning orc team elected to receive, leaving the dwarf team to kick and kick they did. As soon as the ball was launched by the back hooves of the Centaur, the Chaos Dwarf coach spotted something that shall haunt the confines of his mind for days to come; The Orc Coach looking directly at him, grinning.
Before the coach could yell out a warning to his team it was already too late. A wave of orcs poured out of the stands, screaming for blood, running directly for dwarf team. After the crowd had left the pitch more then half of the Chaos Dwarf team had been knocked unconscious with only two casualties on the orc side.
The orc team rushed forward, marking the remaining upright opponents, and successfully putting the ball in the hands of the orc Blitzer, Rixter.
To their credit the remaining two Dwarves, two Hobgoblins and the Centaur put up a good fight, managing to knock down the players that were marking them. Shukh Vilebull, the Bull Centaur, Managed to blitz through the two orcs in his face with help from a goblin, allowing him to sprint up and mark the ball carrier in a charge of worry and impatience which only left him open to teh orc team collapsing on him knocking him down, stunned.
Rixter, who now had no opposition to stop him, made a dash towards the end zone of the dwarf team with his allies following and forming a wall between him and the dwarves, who were mostly still on the ground.
The Dwarves knew they didn't have much time before Rixter scored, did what they could to minimize the distance between them and the ball carrier, but a combination of their stubby legs and the wall that the orcs and constructed meant they had no chance of making it to Rixter before he reached the zone. However, Instead of scoring immediately, Rixter waited by the scoring line as the clock went closer to half time.
Enraged by the orcs actions, the Dwarf team pounded away at the orcs surrounding them, determined to make enough of an impact that they could reach Rixter fast enough that they might have at least a few turns to make a run back before half time.
While the Dwarves and Hobgoblins fought their best, Shukh had woken out of his stunned state and determinedly run around the pack, sprinting and blitzing the lone orcs in his way but tripping over his own hooves just before reaching Rixter who proceeded to laugh and run to the other side of the field. But Shukh wasn't done yet, he heaved himself up and once again charged towards Rixter, knocking back the orcs by his side until he was so close he could taste victory. But then, out of his vision, a fist connected with the side of Shukhs' head, knocking him unconscious.
Rixter had gotten hold of the ball moments earlier and advancing through the chaos dwarf flank was surprisingly easy due to the crowd´s intervention. The large bull centaur(Da four legged n´ ugly git) that was on his tail for a while but this only real threat to him was blocked by three of his teammates who half accidentally knocked the git out. Rixter had a roaring laugh, and advanced to cross the endzone line, until his coach yelled: "RIXTER! STOP! STAY THERE!". Rixter looked back with a sad look on his face, and pointed back downwards to the chaos dwarf side of the pitch, where dust was rising, roars and screams of pleasure and pain, and occasional breaking of bones could be heard. He was asking the to join his buddies for some more good fighting.
Coach shook his head, and told Rixter to stay put and wait out the clock. Rixter´s face turned red, he didn´t just want to stand there while the other boyz were having fun, but then he remembered what Rosis, the biggest and meanest of the Black Orcs, had told him what happens to the boyz who disobey the coach. The coach had hired a troll "Crazy-Asko", not to be on the field, but as a disciplinary tool. Disobeying would mean spending the time between matches alone with the troll in a small confined cell. Rosis had told erlier that Crazy-Asko was "Disgustin´, smelly, horny, hungry" and that "Spendin´ time with dat git leadz to serious pain to body, nose and mind" Those warnings coming from the mouth of Rosis, a black orc who could tie a body of an elf into a knot like a balloon animal and who had eaten all of their goblin tryouts for sunday brunch, gave weight to these words and made Rixter and rest of the orc team obedient.
As the timer nearly reached half time, Rixter finally scored, putting the score at 1-0.
Knowing that there wouldn't be enough time to score, the Orc team started the next drive with their entire team bar three linemen on their own score zone. The Dwarves knew this as well so they set their eyes on the three line men and pounced, laying the three out. Zgost the Hobgoblin decided that this wasn't enough punishment for the half that had happened and fouled one of the line men. However, he tripped not even managing to damage the linemen with the help of his entire team and additionally gaining the attention of an orc referee who ejected Zgost from the game.
At the end of the first half, the orc camp had taken zero casualties while the chaos team had two of their Goblins too injured to continue, one of whom had a broken ankle that all but guaranteed that he wasn't ever going to win a marathon in the rest of his life.
Three players down the Chaos team had a monumental task ahead of them, and they intended to at least make this game a tie. They pushed forward as a group with the last Goblin holding the ball for dear life, but the Orc defense was too strong to push through with fewer number. In a last ditch effort The Goblin ran through the orc defense hoping that his team would be able to hold the orcs back enough that he'd be able to make it to the end zone and maybe they could've had the orcs not managed to smack him before he was able to get past with a whack hard enough, that had it not been for the teams apothecary, the poor goblin would be in the warp, serving as one of Khornes many skull trophies.
Seeing their only hope go down like a bag of bricks, the Dwarven spirit had finally been broken. The orcs knocked them down and scored again unceremoniously, ending the game 2-0.
Unlike the last game, The Dwarven Coach rounded up his team with a solemn tone. He knew that the orc had most likely paid off the crowd before the game and that from that point on it was a battle that even Archaon the Everchosen would've had trouble winning. But Hikaru swore to his team, He'd get revenge on those that would cheat them out of their rightful victory, starting with the crowd who caused the tide to begin with.
The next night he watched the recording over and over, determined to put a face to every one of the crowd who had attacked his team. They would regret ever slighting his wrath, for while Dwarves may hold grudges, they don't hold a candle to the hate of a Chaos Dwarf scorned.
The coach of the Chicken Wingz and Fukbois asked about possibility of hiring some bullies to invade the pitch, denied the accusation with a sinister smile on his face.
"I´m afraid there might be lack of proof for the orc coach bribing the crowd. It sure does help to have a goblin as an assistant coach.."
